FACULTY OF SHARIA AND ISLAMIC STUDIES

The Faculty of Shari’a and Islamic Studies is dedicated to advancing the application of Sharia and its supremacy in all aspects of community life through its comprehensive academic programs. The Faculty is committed to fostering academic and professional development for its students and society at large, promoting rational, effective, and constructive Islamic academic progress. The curriculum is structured into three main specializations:

1.      Usul al-Fiqh (Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence): This specialization focuses on the foundational principles and methodologies used in deriving Islamic legal rulings. It equips students with the tools to understand and interpret Islamic law in a contemporary context.

2.      Islamic Studies: This area covers a broad range of subjects, including Quranic studies, Hadith, Islamic history, theology, and comparative religion. It aims to provide a holistic understanding of Islam and its teachings.

3.      Arabic Language: Given the importance of Arabic in understanding Islamic texts, this specialization emphasizes proficiency in the Arabic language, including grammar, literature, and rhetoric, to enable students to engage deeply with classical and modern Islamic sources.
