FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES

Established in 2009, the Faculty of Health Sciences began as part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences but has since evolved into an independent entity. Dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of the Somali population, the Faculty strives to deliver quality medical education, foster innovative research, and provide customer-centered health services. With a vision to become a leader in Health Sciences education and services in Somalia, the Faculty is tirelessly working to achieve excellence in its three core pillars: teaching, research, and community engagement. Currently, it serves approximately 2,200 enrolled students. In its commitment to academic growth and relevance, the Faculty of Health Sciences has been actively diversifying its degree programs to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare sector.

The Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Somalia comprises five academic departments, each offering a four-year degree program. These departments are:
