The provision of education at the University of Somalia depends, to a large extent, on regular classes where students MUST attend various lectures of the degree program units they are pursuing so that they don’t miss the basic objective in the process of building their careers. Poor attendance negatively influences the academic record of the student and further can lead to disqualifying the student to continue the program he/she has been admitted. Accumulative absence of higher than 25% of the total time of a certain course disqualifies the concerned students from receiving any grade from that course even if these students have obtained some marks from the coursework or/and quizzes.
Students must meet the attendance criterion for every course. Students with less than 75% attendance in any course shall not be allowed to sit in the final examination of that particular course in a semester. So, the eligibility for the exams depends on the regular attendance of the student in all the courses to be attended.
